Sometimes we cannot bear to leave behind the things we love. |
~ A tiny scribble in the corner of my sketchbook.~
Sometimes we cannot bear to leave behind the things we love. |
'But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are, so that no man may boast before God.
But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption, so that, just as it is written, "LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD."'
-1 Corinthians 1:27-31

So pretty! And a bit melancholy. Beautiful! I love it! :-)
This is very you, little Sparrow, and in its simple silvan beauty and melancholy reminds me of all the times you have been happy and I have been there, and all the times you have told me of the places you have left behind and long to return to. But we can't. We're pilgrims, Sparrow, always uprooting for a better soil somewhere else, totting ourselves about in pots after the pillar of cloud and fire.
"And it's hard to imagine the freedom we find
In the things that we leave behind..."
I love it! It is a very pretty picture! Sometimes we cannot bear
to leave behind the things we love. It reminds me of the talk we had, us both having to leave places we loved!
